Do we need a "Critical Mass" in order to start a revolution? If so, why? If not, please explain- historical examples would be helpful in this discussion.

Look at Guinea-Bissau, Cuba, Brasil...a critical mass isn't needed to start a revolution but widespread support, which with good propaganda comes over time, is needed to sustain it.

I agree with you one hundred percent. A revolution has already started in my opinion. With avenues like this very website becoming available, so that we Africans have a way of reconnecting. I believe it's time for us to re-evaluate how we chose to spend our dollars and have a plan for any future emergency which may arise.
We also need to look at the fact that we have been spiritually miseducated and that needs to be corrected as well in order for us to win in this revolution.

What ways do you think propaganda a.k.a. media might be used to facilitate our goals?

I am unsure of how to respond appropriately to this question. So I say, very carefully use media.
Our African family in America is in such a state right now that the way they receive information is in the utmost importance. We become angry and afraid when confronted with truths in which we aren't ready to face.
Have you ever read the book "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu?
I think those statgies should be considered in any approach taken to inform our people. We want to inform them without bringing attention or unnecessary hassle from white America or anyone else that would hinder us in our mission. In other words I feel it's smarter to let the truth be spread over the lips of warriors directly to searching souls who are activley trying to re-connect.

we know Taundra is correct when she says proceed carefully. we need to create and agree to a collective approach...May I recommend "The Handbook of Revolutionary Warfare" by Kwame Nkrumah. Anyway, we are off and running with small collectives but we need the synergy of the larger collective to create a successful web...I'll try to vibe with you guys on the forum tonight...

Anybody who reads or have read The Handbook is a friend of mine. I am surprised to see this site here considering all of the reactionaries and Unlce Toms out there.

I think you are on the right track. the internet wil for the first time allow us to communicate instantaneously all over the African World, sharing ideas and concepts, loving one another and developing new ideas and concepts. We can share our sucesses in one place; and help to solve failures in another. Aside from simple communication, study and research are critiically important. So, yopu suggestion on Sun Tzu is right on time.

But, I would add a few others to your rather short list. The military Art of People's War by Vo Nguyen Giap, is the best that I have ever read pertaining to defense in the Modern Era. Two others include Ghana: The Aurobiography of Kwame Nkrumah and Enhancing People's Power by Ahmed Sekou Toure, Supreme Leader of the Revolution. The Green Book by Brother Muamamwr Quadafi should not be ignored. There are many more, many of them in French and/or Arabic. But, the ones mentioned are essential.

The enemey will infiltrate us no matter what we do. The important thing is to know that the enemy is always here. So, do not break the enemy's law. At the same time, make sure that you use reverse psychology on him whenever you can. Do not be afraid to call him a pig or a dog to his face. The word will get out. Soon everybody wil be calling him a pig and dog. The important thing is do not become intimidated.

For insatnce, there is one site where the enemy was always there. Every time we would start a serious discussion, he would come online and say "I am your enemy", or something like that. One day, I woke up late and that fool really got on my nerves. I wanted to talk about his mama. Instead, I talked about his girlfriend. They used that as a sorry excuse to kick me out. But, guess what: I went back to spy on them a few days ago. Now, everybody is atlking about revolution.

are you the same Lutalo from prodigy.com?

this is THE discussion that needs to be developed. how do we create and use media to facilitate, maybe not necessarily our goals, but the collective will of the people who are informed and unafraid to unleash their power on the earth? We're already in a middle of a black book revolution. So, we see not one genre or approach will work. The few must create a cultural web that is powerful enough to uplift, educate AND crack off the imperialist, capitalist, elitist crust that has us living in fear of lack and limitation...

Greetings Taundra,
Your point about a revolution already beginning is well taken.
I do also believe that the economic and education piece are major areas of focus for us.

There will be a free discussion on economic and social survival for Afrikan people, tonight, June 7th @ 7pm EST on abibitumikasa.com. I hope that you can attend and give your comments!
